History 101 Incorporated in 1989 under the leadership of S. M. Farouq Massoud. Mr. Massoud come to the United States from Afghanistan after serving in the military in mid-1960's. After arriving in the United States, Mr. Massoud completed his higher education goals as well as obtained a reputable background as a master mechanic. After purchasing and/or establishing several other successful businesses in and around Arlington and Falls Church, Virginia, Mr. Massoud began Dulles Airport Taxi, Inc. for the sole purpose of bringing a better standard to the Dulles International Airport and the traveling public. Mr. Massoud and his management team successfully operated the taxi concession at IAD from 1989 through 2000. During this time, DAT won several international ground transportation awards. While operating at IAD, DAT began servicing places such as Columbus International Airport and Rickenbacker Airport in Columbus, Ohio from 1992 until 2007. DAT also successfully converted an open taxicab system at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina from 2000 until 2007. During the years with RDU, Mr. Massoud and DAT won four independently supervised secret shopper awards. Each secret shopper award received perfect 100% scores during each unannounced review. In the fall of 2007, Mr. Massoud and DAT were successful in securing one-third of the Washington-Flyer fleet at IAD once again. The use of state of the art GPS and other technology based innovations has allowed DAT to remain the industry leader for airport based transportation. In addition to providing only the very best equipment and resources to his fleet of driver representatives, Mr. Massoud has demonstrated by hiring a diverse group of employees can only aid in seeing his high standards reached. S. John Massoud gained immense experience as the Operations Manager for Arlington-Blue Top prior to becoming the Vice-President of Operations for DAT, Inc. Mr.Tim Lenihan, a 20-year veteran of Greyhound Bus Line, previously served as General Manager of DAT-Columbus before moving on to the Regional Manager's position. Now semi-retired, Mr. Lenihan provides guidance as a consultant with DAT, Inc. Mr. Jeffrey Fisher, replaced Mr. Lenihan as DAT-Columbus' General Manager and now serves as the General Manager for DAT-Flyer located at Washington-Dulles International Airport. Mr. Fisher a former Chief of Police from Ohio, also served as a police instructor and high school educator specializing in law enforcement studies. Mr. Fisher designed the current communication center for DAT-Flyer and took the lead in providing training as DAT began their new duties at IAD. |
